Hi, I’m Lia Boyko, owner and operator of Babushka.

Originally from the Canadian prairies (Winnipeg to be exact), I have landed in Brighton where I live and Hove where I bake.

After spending time baking and decorating in some very popular bakeries in Toronto (Kwento!) and London (Violet!) and many hours of spare time I’ve decided to open up my very own cake space. Favouring fun fruity flavours and nostalgic kitschy designs, my aim is to bring a bit of joy through the medium of cake.

When I’m not bustling around my little kitchen space in Hove I can be found slinging coffees at Loam in the North Laine. Pop by to say hi in person!
